GPL Odorizers, the manufacturer of the advanced eco-friendly odorization system, has added an even more robust odorant injection system upgrade. The odorizer manufacturer now offers Shelter Works custom-built fiberglass buildings to protect the entire system from the weather, as well as improve aesthetics and dissuade vandalism.
Odorization systems consist of the equipment to inject odorant, a compound that makes gas detectable, into a gas stream. Many gases, including natural gas and propane, are odorless and combustible, and regulations require the gas be odorized at precise levels to ensure that a person with a “normal” sense of smell can perceive it.
An odorant injection system would typically include an odorizer, a tank to store the odorant, and a containment skid to keep the odorant off the ground if the tank leaks. The odorizer typically includes solenoids, a controller, pressure regulator, and other devices to control the flow of gas to provide precise injection of odorant.
Fiberglass Building Upgrade
The Shelter Works customized fiberglass enclosure enhances the entire system’s protection against inclement weather and other environmental impacts. Shelter Works uses FiberBeam™ so that the roof and walls do not buckle in heavy snow. Designing the building to the project’s specifications at the onset permits the customer to specify windows, doors, roof hatches, access panels, cut-outs, or bulkheads needed to accommodate the system.
